Celebrate and support the Howard University Music Majors who concentrate in Music Therapy, Music Education and Music with Electives in Business. We'll hear students in training to use their voices in their work while helping others. A variety of genres will be presented, including Early Italian, Musical Theatre, Opera and Spirituals.

Students in the Music Department at Howard University will perform a special virtual tribute concert in a mix of musical genres. The program will include a classical vocal rendition and a video of jazz vocalist who accompanies himself on piano. Professor Connaitre Miller, who directs the program says to expect a musical Smorgasbord. She will be the guest host along with Professor Kehembe Eichelberger.

In addition to the jazz vocalists, we have a video of a pianist who plays a Chopin Etude that is blended with the well-known jazz ballad, Lush Life. Ellington Carthan, a former Howard student, is a current Artist-in-Residence at Strathmore and will give a live performance on July 14th at the Strathmore Pavilion.
