New Policy for Registering for Home Social Hours

Members who have never attended a social hour (or who have only attended 2 social hours in the last 3 months) will be able to pre-register for Social Hours going forward.

Registration opens to all members 7 days in advance of event. The Social Hours in members’ homes have been a great success and we want to continue to offer them to all members, while also being mindful of people who have not been able to sign up for one.

Please contact host directly if you need to cancel within 24 hours of the event.

Storytelling through an Educator’s Eyes

Stories are our oldest form of education. Since time immemorial, through story telling, we’ve passed down our culture, beliefs and traditions, and shared information with one another. Consider: although not all of the world’s human culture is literate, every single culture tells stories.

Our November Soup Salon will feature Dr. Moira Dougherty, scholar and storyteller extraordinaire, who will share her knowledge of storytelling and its effect on education during these post-pandemic times. We welcome some soup, dessert or wine to share, but that is optional.
