What is going to happen to baseball 2020 as we deal with the covid-19 virus? There is one man who has his eye on the ball, and his own ideas about how we might enjoy the nation’s favorite game despite the lock-ins. Everyone who loves sports and theater, knows the name Johnny Holiday. A man with his finger on the pulse of all sports in this challenging time.

The voice of regional and local sports, and the announcer for the Baltimore Orioles for more than 40 years. Johnny has also been the voice of University of Maryland basketball and football. He has also done play-by-play many colleges games e.g. U California, Stanford, the Naval Academy and may others. He fills in for MASN sports programs and was the former announcer for the Nationals.

Nominated for the National Radio Hall of Fame as a regional and local broadcaster. He was an inductee in both the Washington DC Sports Hall of Fame and the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame.

Johnny loves theater and music. His interest might have started when he was a top 40’s radio announcer. For his whole life, Johnny has always performed. He has been in more than 30 national and regional productions. He was nominated for the Helen Hayes award for his performance in Me and My Girl. On television he was the announcer for ABC’s This Week program, as well as a host of other television shows.

Funny, energetic, and filled with ideas. Johnny Holliday does not disappoint.
