The discussion will center on Ava DuVernay’s documentary “13th.” The film explores the "intersection of race, justice, and mass incarceration in the US.” The program will be moderated by Amy Fettig, executive director of the Sentencing Project, a non profit that works for a fair and effective U.S. criminal justice system by producing groundbreaking research to promote reforms in sentencing policy, address unjust racial disparities and practices, and to advocate for alternatives to incarceration.

Please watch the documentary before the program. It’s available on Netflix and YouTube.
