Tour of Meridian Hill/Malcolm X Park
Lunch at El Tamarindo
What's a better way to spend a beautiful fall day than to take a walk in a park?  Come meet us in Meridian Hill/ Malcolm X Park to learn and explore the many details and features this park holds.

Learn about how this formal Italian/French inspired park came about; how the site evolved over the years; and what is happening there now?

The tour will begin at the park entrance at 16th & Euclid (there is an accessible entrance at 15th and Euclid).  The lower portion of the park has large sections that are not accessible.

Our guide will be Jeffrey Catts, a local landscape architect, who has worked in both the private sector and with a local non-profit.  Jeff has volunteered and worked with the National Park Service in this park for many years.
  • This tour will all be on paved walks and paths
  • The site contains many steps and sloped paths
  • There are restroom facilities in the park (located on the upper section of the park)
  • The tour will last approximately 1.5 hours
Maximum number of guests for this event is 16.
